ECHO PARK TRUNK SHOW & GIVEAWAY

Hi y'all, 

It's been a long hot summer in LA but we're making moves as we head into the fall and we wanted to give you a heads up about what's in store:

RUGS: We were running low on big rugs, so we placed a couple custom orders with our artisan partners in Morocco. One of them is already off the loom and the others are set to arrive at our showroom in October, right when we get back from our next Morocco tour. Scroll down to see the custom process in action!

EVENTS: We have a Trunk Show at Corridor in Echo Park next weekend -- if you're in Los Angeles, stop by for rugs, drinks, and a peak at Corridor's fall collection. You can also enter for a chance to win a $200 gift certificate at Kantara and a shirt from Corridor's core collection.

TOURS: Between our Kantara Tours and our Smithsonian tours, I'm all booked up for 2027! If you'd like to join me on one of my Smithsonian Tours, I have a number of them coming up, ranging from the two week ground tours, to the Mediterranean cruise with Ponant. For Kantara Tours, I'm just now starting to book for 2028. If you have a small group of friends or family (8-14 people), a student group, or a retreat, and you would like to travel to Morocco with me in 2028, feel free to reach out! We can either do our 12-day signature tour where we visit a couple weaving co-ops, glamp for a night in the Sahara desert, and wander the medinas of the imperial cities -- or we can customize it to fit your specific interests!

CUSTOM RUGS, COMING SOON!

We placed a custom order for these rugs when things were quiet in the summer. As the temperatures cool in Morocco, the artisans are picking up steam, working on the orders. Here's a small sample of the rugs that are currently in process.

This one will be an 8' x 10' Beni Mrirt rug. It's a classic with a twist! We love that it incorporates the abstract diamond designs, often found in Beni Ourain rugs, but adds the luxury of a Beni Mrirt rug. As is the case with most Beni Mrirt rugs, there is also a sculptural aspect to it, where the linework is inset within the rug as a flatwoven element amidst the plush and cozy wool. 

Here's a 9' x 12' Beni Mrirt rug. It'll almost be too big for our space, but we couldn't resist the colors and design and really wanted to see it large!

Another Beni Mrirt, this time with a bold orange linework and orange speckling along one end of the rug.

This one was just cut off the loom and it's a big one, clocking in right around 9' x 12'

We'll be popping up at Corridor's Echo Park location next weekend and we'd love to see you there! We'll be bringing a selection of rugs, pillows, and poufs. There will be music and drinks. And a giveaway!
