• 40 NEW RUGS • GRIEF CIRCLE & ECLIPSE TOUR UPDATES
Hi friends,
I have some updates for you in the flavor of rugs, events, and tours!
RUGS: Early this month we got a shipment of 5 bundles, equalling 400+ lbs of rugs. I'm relieved to say that we finally got the 40 new rugs listed online! 💪🏽😅 This latest haul is a mix of different styles, pulling heavily from the abstract, expressive Boujad style rugs, to the funky, more durable (/machine-washable) Boucherouite rugs, to a selection of truly one-of-a-kind vintage pieces. We were also running low on runner rugs, so we restocked on those and are very pleased with the selection! Scroll through this email to see some of our faves!
EVENTS: We're getting back into hosting events at the shop, and had a lovely turnout for The Mynabirds show last month. It felt so good to be cocooned among all the rugs, listening to Laura Bird's sweet melodies and stirring anthems. Our next event at the shop is a Grief Circle on July 5th. All our welcome to attend. See below for details!
TOURS: While we've been sold out on both legs of our Total Solar Eclipse tour in Morocco for more than a year now, changes are expected, especially when booking that far in advance. We're hearing from our partners at TravelQuest that there's one room that has recently become available for the Northbound version of this tour. For all you eclipse chasers out there, here's the trip info. Come travel with me in Morocco and catch the Eclipse of the Century!
x, Alia
P.S. Summer is for picnics and beach days and we're all stocked up on our multipurpose vintage Moroccan blankets. These make excellent beach blankets, picnic table covers or furniture/car covers for shedding pups. Click the links below to see the full selection!

This rug is lightweight but packs a big punch. With its organic honeycomb design, this piece stands out as one of the classic vintage Moroccan rug sty
The level of detail on this vintage Ait Ouaouzguite rug is unparalleled, down to the handspun wool warp. This is a low-pile piece that almost feels like a flatweave rug.
Another low pile rug with exquisite details, this vintage rug in pinks, reds, seafoam green features all of the diamond shapes, meant to ward off the evil eye.

How do you choose your favorites? Over the last few months, we've brought in 19 new runners. We tried to get a range for shorter runners and longer runners. To browse the full collection, click here.

We love the balance between the sunny yellows on either end, with the pops of blue and orange!
Really feeling the colors and patterns on this abstract Boujad runner. Rugs like these are testaments to the weavers' creativity!
This runner is only 10' long, but it delivers with its abstract design and faded pastel color palette!

We never met a checkered rug we didn't like. But we do tend to choose the ones that are a little more complex than just two colors and symmetrical designs. The following pieces meet our standards of checkered and unique. To browse the full collection of checkered rugs, click here.

We love the autumnal colors on this little throw rug. As a smaller piece, it would be perfect in a bathroom, or as a bedside runner.
This red checkered rug plays with color and texture. Zoom in and you'll see that there are both flatweave and pile sections.
This multi-colored boucherouite checkered rug is made out of cotton and easy to clean! Place it in a bathroom, or in a kitchen.
